Kitchen Layout Design


Kitchen has been the best place to live in. You can do both the work of cooking and get together with friends. But the place has to be spacious so that it can so much people can be there. Also there is no mess which spoils the mood of both cooking and dining together. Before designing your kitchen you must have a layout of it so that the kitchen can be spacious and good for works to be done. Proper appliance should be considered for having a proper kitchen. Also all these appliances should not make the place look messy and untidy. We find different designs of kitchen which suits different place. Kitchen can be either made in a single wall or can use different sides of the wall. It can be either 'U' shape, 'L' shape, or double 'L' shape or 'G' shape. All these designs are good looking but it must suit your place.

While you design your kitchen you must consider some points in your mind:-

1-The position of water whether far or near
2-Enough space to slice, chop, dice and otherwise prepare meals.
3-Place to store the olive oil near the stove
4-Ample space so that two or more cooks can easily afford to work comfortably in the given
place.
5-Easily rinsing of the dishes and loading them to the dishwasher
6-Preference of a range or a separate cook top and oven
7-Requirement of prep sink and clean up sink
8-An eating area in the kitchen itself

Conclusion

If you are designing the old kitchen itself it automatically limits the layout option for you. Layout plan can work successfully on the newly designed place or may in the process of designing. One should properly measure the kitchen and go on with the following steps.
The kitchen should be such that it has the Maneuvering Space i.e. space to maneuver close to cabinets, appliances, and work areas must be provided. It should also have Knee Space under counter surfaces so that it is suitable for the person to sit and perform the kitchen task. It should also have a Turnaround space which allows Pivoting turn and the T-turn also.
